Girl Scouts of Suffolk County hosts annual holiday light show

The Girl Scouts of Suffolk County will once again host its annual Holiday Light Show.

The show, on Friday and Saturday nights, begins Saturday, Nov. 29 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. in the Enchanted Forest at the Girl Scouts’ Camp Edey at 1500 Lakeview Ave. in Bayport.

The show returns to Camp Edey for the first time since 2016 with an immersive, half-mile walk-through experience, with dazzling lighted displays, including the iconic giant lighted Christmas tree, with plenty of fun photo opportunities along the way.

“The walk-through format allows families and friends to explore the beautiful light displays up close and enjoy interactive elements, photo opportunities, fire pits, and games in a more relaxed and festive atmosphere,” said Tammy Severino, president and CEO of Girl Scouts of Suffolk County. “Plus, it aligns with our goal of fostering a stronger sense of community and connection, which can be harder to achieve when everyone is in their cars.”

The light display will include the designs of five creative Girl Scouts who submitted winning entries in this year’s Holiday Lights contest.

This year’s show will also feature special visits from Santa in the cozy lodge. The Chill Zone will feature fire pits, music, and games, and the Girl Scout Shoppe will offer festive goodies and Girl Scout merch for sale. The GSSC Holiday Light Show is a rain or shine event. Tickets are $12.50 for registered Girl Scouts, and $15 for the general public. Guests 2 years old and under do not need a ticket.
