LI village to hold tree-lighting event supporting ‘Spread the Warmth’ campaign

Cold Spring Harbor village’s ‘Spread the Warmth’ campaign, a charity drive for hats and mittens, will be holding a Joyful Tree Lighting Celebration on Saturday, Dec. 14 from 3 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. at 1 Shore Road in Cold Spring Harbor.

The event is hosted by Daniel Gale Sotheby’s International Realty real estate advisors Laura Zambratto and Lauren Koke and features holiday music and an appearance by Santa Claus. This holiday season, the village announced its participation in the ‘Spread the Warmth’ campaign, providing warm hats and mittens for local kids in need through the Huntington Station-based charity Helping Hand Mission. Participating Cold Spring Harbor businesses will be accepting donations of new or gently used hats and mittens through Saturday, Dec 14.

All are invited to attend the Joyful Tree Lighting Celebration with their children, who can bring their letters for Santa. Carolers will be singing holiday songs in anticipation of Santa’s 4 p.m. arrival, followed by the tree lighting at 4:30 p.m. Hot cocoa will be available thanks to Sweetie Pies on Main, and the event’s tree and lights were donated by Cold Spring Harbor’s Kean Development.
