Suffolk Credit Union spreads holiday cheer with toy drive
Suffolk Credit Union brought joy to the holiday season by donating over 200 toys to local children through a partnership with Mondays at Racine Cancer Care, New York Cancer and Blood Specialists and New York Cancer Foundation.
The donations were collected during the month-long Suffolk Smiles toy drive, an annual fundraiser supported by credit union members and employees. The toys were distributed to children and families at Mondays at Racine Cancer Care in Sayville.
“We are beyond grateful for our members’ generosity during our third annual Suffolk Smiles Toy Drive,” said Laura Racioppi, vice president of corporate and community partnerships at Suffolk Credit Union. “With help from New York Cancer Foundation, Mondays Cancer Care and our members, we were able to bring smiles, laughter and a little extra holiday magic to so many brave kids and their families.”
Mondays at Racine Cancer Care offers free health, beauty and wellness services to individuals undergoing cancer treatment. Suffolk Credit Union has a longstanding relationship with the organization and supports its charter Salon Be in Blue Point, providing additional resources and volunteers for cancer patients.
