The Nicholas Center hosts 2nd annual art show at The Art Guild in Port Washington

Continuing their partnership with fellow Port Washington-based organization The Art Guild, The Nicholas Center has announced the opening of “Art On The Spectrum.”

The opening features a reception to be held on Sunday, Jan. 12 from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. at The Art Guild, located at 200 Port Washington Blvd. in Manhasset. The exhibit will be on display through the end of January.

Last year, the two organizations held a special reception at The Art Guild celebrating the opening of a show called “Expressions – Our Perspective in Art, Photography and Words”, the first collection from The Nicholas Center to be exhibited.

During The Nicholas Center’s monthly meetings with The Art Guild, students have been introduced to a variety of artistic styles and mediums in process-oriented art, bringing focus to the method of creation.

The Nicholas Center aims to revolutionize the way autistic adults learn, live and work by offering vocational training, supported employment, meaningful community-based projects and vital peer connections.
