United Way of LI receives $100K from Capital One to promote financial literacy
United Way of Long Island has recently announced a $100,000 grant from Capital One in support of its Financial Literacy Initiatives.
The initiatives will directly benefit YouthBuild students, Project Warmth recipients, ALICE families (Asset Limited, Income Constrained, Employed), and participants in Family Support programs. The funding enables United Way to deliver a comprehensive curriculum that focuses on essential financial topics, including budgeting, debt reduction, credit building, and consumer protection.
“This generous contribution from Capital One underscores their commitment to fostering financial empowerment and addressing the unique challenges faced by underserved populations,” said Theresa A. Regnante, president and CEO of United Way of Long Island. “Thanks to this partnership, we are equipping individuals and families with the tools they need to achieve financial independence while creating lasting economic stability for our communities.”
