John’s Crazy Socks becomes official sock partner of the Pro Bowlers Association

Farmingdale-based company John’s Crazy Socks has announced its new role as the official athletic sock for the Professional Bowlers Association (PBA) Tour for the 2025 season.

The partnership will debut at the PBA Delaware Classic, held Monday, Jan 20. through Saturday, Jan. 25 at Mid County Lanes & Entertainment in Middletown, Delaware.

“Bowling is for everyone, and so are our socks,” said John Cronin, co-founder of John’s Crazy Socks. “We’re excited to help bowlers showcase their personalities and love for the game through our socks.”

The official PBA sock is a high-performance athletic sock designed with input from PBA bowlers and featuring the iconic PBA logo. The sock, along with a curated collection of bowling-themed socks, will be available at PBA events, on the John’s Crazy Socks website, and at select pro shops nationwide.

“John’s Crazy Socks’ origin story and mission are inspiring,” said PBA Commissioner Tom Clark. “Plus, the product is fun and practical for all bowlers. We are proud to partner with this organization and look forward to what we can accomplish together.”

As part of the partnership, John Cronin and Mark X. Cronin, co-founders of John’s Crazy Socks, will appear at the season-opening event. Joining them are Kyle Troup and Packy Hanrahan, two PBA bowlers who have become ambassadors for the brand. Fans can purchase custom socks online designed for Troup and Hanrahan, celebrating their unique styles and achievements.

John Cronin learned to bowl as a Special Olympics athlete, and his company has long held an annual bowling outing for its employees. Over half of the employees of John’s Crazy Socks have differing abilities, and its Giving Back Program has raised over $800,000 for charities, including the Special Olympics.
