Birthday celebration at John’s Crazy Socks brings special gifts

To celebrate John’s Crazy Socks co-founder John Cronin’s 29th birthday, the company has announced some special gifts.

For every order placed on John’s birthday on Feb. 11, John’s Crazy Socks will donate an additional $1 to the Special Olympics, on top of the company’s ongoing commitment of donating 5 percent of earnings and proceeds from Special Olympics-themed socks.

The company also announced that there will now be free shipping on all orders, forever, with no minimums or conditions. In addition, every order placed on John’s birthday will include extra candy as a small way to share the joy and fun that he brings to the world every day.

“Our customers make it possible for us to live our mission—showing what people with differing abilities can do, giving back, and spreading happiness,” Cronin said. “I want to thank them by giving them gifts on my birthday.”

John, a proud Special Olympics athlete, designed the Shark Socks in honor of his basketball and track team the Commack Sharks. The company has also launched a new line of athletic socks celebrating Special Olympics sports, donating 10 percent of sales from each pair to Special Olympics New York.
