Brookhaven Youth Bureau makes prom wishes come true with free gown program

Providing prom attire for teens regardless of their finances, the Town of Brookhaven Youth Bureau has organized a free gown program for students who want to attend their high school proms.

The Prom Boutique, located on the second floor of Brookhaven Town Hall in Farmingville, will operate as a dress shop filled with prom gowns in a broad range of styles and fashions from March until the end of the school year. Students can be outfitted with a gown of their choice and other accessories that are theirs to keep.

There is no charge for this service and all clients are kept strictly confidential. The program will run from March 10 to June 13, Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., with evening hours on March 25, April 10, May 1, May 22 and June 9 from 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

All visits to the Prom Boutique are by appointment only.
