Girl Scouts of Suffolk County to host “Wicked” weekend booth sales for cookie season

The Girl Scouts of Suffolk County will go all out this Oscars weekend with a tribute to “Wicked,” the movie musical expected by many to sweep this year’s Academy Awards.

Girl Scouts troops nationwide will decorate their in-person cookie booth sales in green and pink for their “Wicked Weekend” cookie sales on Saturday, March 1 and Sunday, March 2.

Cookie selling booths and tables will be decked out in pink and green, a nod to the famous friendship of lead characters Glinda and Elphaba. Many Girl Scouts will also dress up in Wicked-themed outfits, bringing the enchantment of “Wicked” to their communities while selling America’s favorite cookies for $7 a box.

Girl Scouts who participate in the Wicked Weekend booth sales will earn an exclusive “Wicked” Girl Scouts Patch to wear on their sashes and vests. The patch, which quickly gained national attention after it was posted on their Instagram page, was designed by the Girl Scouts of Suffolk County with troops from 30 cities in states across the country, including in California, Arizona, Georgia, Maryland, Kentucky, Nevada, Ohio, and Texas, each organizing their own Wicked Weekend booth sales.

This year’s cookie lineup includes beloved classics including Thin Mints, Samoas (Caramel deLites), and Tagalongs (Peanut Butter Patties). The 2025 season also marks the final opportunity for customers to purchase the S’mores and Toast-Yay! flavors, which will be discontinued after this year.

A portion of the cookie sales are going directly to the troop from which customers make a purchase. The 2025 cookie season runs through Tuesday, April 22, with availability and dates varying by location.

Booth sales can be found via the Cookie Locator on the Girl Scouts of Suffolk County’s website and searching by ZIP Code.
