‘Walk of Love’ for Ronald McDonald House Charities returns for 2025
Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) New York Metro, Long Island’s Ronald McDonald House chapter, will host its ‘Walk of Love’ 5K and Fun Run on Saturday, May 3, from 8 a.m. to noon, starting and finishing at the Ronald McDonald House in New Hyde Park.
The Walk of Love is RMHC New York Metro’s largest community event of the year and raises essential funds for sick children and families across Long Island and the greater New York metro region. The organization, which currently supports over 12,000 families going through a pediatric medical crisis, is fully supported by charitable contributions.
More than 30 teams have signed on to participate in 2025, including Savannah’s Legacy, which has raised over $8,000 in memory of their infant daughter who passed away at 17 days old. The Incredible Jack Pack, another participating team, has raised over $10,000 in honor of their son, Jack, who was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia in Jan. 2025.
Participants can register early for $25. Day-of registration is $40. Ronald McDonald House in New Hyde Park is located at 267-07 76th Ave., New Hyde Park.
