Grill Neck
The brokers of a 56-acre Mill Neck property are holding a summer barbecue next week to cook up interest in the $30 million listing that’s been on the market since last September, as first reported by Long Island Business News.
The estate known as Laurel Hill was built for the Pratts and later purchased by the Rockefellers. Now owned by William Catacosinos, former CEO of the Long Island Lighting Company, who bought it in 1978, the property features a 10,000-square-foot brick manor house, lush gardens and nature paths, pool, tennis court, a greenhouse and two garages that hold nine cars.
Guests at the Wednesday, July 24 afternoon fete can expect an old school bbq with sliders, chicken, steak, hot dogs, wine and beer catered by Christina’s Epicure.
Offered at $30 million, the estate is co-listed with Jason Friedman and Rudi Friedman of Daniel Gale Sotheby’s International Realty and Bob Olita and John Martin of Douglas Elliman Real Estate.
