Massapequa Turkey Trot gobbles up donations for LLS

The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society of Long Island received a donation of $35,000 last week thanks to the successful fundraising efforts made during the 2019 Massapequa Turkey Trot in November. It is the most money ever raised by the 5K fun run for charity.

The funds will help support the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s activities on Long Island and nationally, including support of cancer patients receiving treatment and research of blood cancers.

“We are grateful to everyone who contributed to this incredible effort that will support patients and families fighting all forms of blood cancer here on Long Island,” said Sara Lipsky, executive director of Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s Long Island chapter.
