PPP loan data for Long Island companies released

The U.S. Small Business Administration on Monday released data about the loans from its recent Paycheck Protection Program in response to FOIA (Freedom of Information Act) requests.

Trade Winds, the small business reporting division of The Long Island Times, has extracted and compiled the data for companies in Nassau and Suffolk counties in an effort to make the information more accessible to the public.

The loan information was organized by state and separated into two data sets: Loans over $150,000, which included names of companies, and loans below $150,000, which did not include company names.

The data is sourced directly from the SBA and was sorted to extract the entries in Nassau and Suffolk counties. As such, there may be some errors or omissions and The Long Island Times cannot verify or guarantee the accuracy or completeness of the information.

While some information was omitted due to file size and bandwidth limitations, all of the original loan data and lenders can be found at the U.S. Department of the Treasury’s SBA Paycheck Protection Program Loan Level Data website.
