Long Island restaurants honored by Wine Spectator
Twenty-one Long Island restaurants received honors from Wine Spectator in its 2020 Restaurant Awards.
The American Hotel in Sag Harbor earned top recognition as a Grand Award winner, while six other area eateries received Best of Award of Excellence honors. Those included Blackstone Steakhouse in Melville; City Cellar Wine Bar & Grill in Westbury; La Parma II in Huntington; Pierre’s in Bridgehampton; Rothmann’s Steakhouse in East Norwich; and Spuntino Wine Bar in Garden City.
Among the local restaurants receiving the Award of Excellence were Jonathan’s Ristorante in Huntington; King Umberto in Elmont; Lulu Kitchen & Bar in Sag Harbor; Morton’s in Great Neck; Osteria Umbra in Smithtown; Piccolo in Huntington; Seasons 52 in Garden City; Stone Creek Inn in East Quogue; The 1770 House in East Hampton; The Bell & Anchor in Sag Harbor; Capital Grille in Garden City; Mill Pond House in Centerport; The Palm in East Hampton; and Touch of Venice in Cutchogue.
This year’s awards program, which moved forward despite the effects of COVID-19, recognized 3,776 dining spots from all 50 states in the U.S. and more than 79 countries internationally.
