‘Cruise Thru’ event collects 8 tons of food

More than 16,000 pounds of nonperishable food was collected at the recent Cruise Thru Food Drop held at the Marjorie Post Park in Massapequa.

The event, held in partnership with Island Harvest Food Bank and the Town of Oyster Bay, attracted dozens of contributors who drove through the parking lot to drop off their food donations to support local families in need.
