Jewelry making classes offered at Northport shop

The Firefly Artists are offering a series of jewelry making and other crafts classes at its Northport shop.

Among the classes taught by Firefly’s Rachel Kalina this holiday season are metal stamping, metalsmithing, soldering and stone setting.

Costs for the classes range from $74 for a 90-minute session on metal stamping to $400 for a 10-hour course in advanced soldering and stone setting.

All classes will all be held onsite at The Firefly Artists shop at 162 Main St. in Northport.

Established in 2011, The Firefly Artists was created by an emerging artist to create a gallery setting where local artists can meet, support one another, and display and sell their own creations. The Firefly Artists have so far offered exhibition space to more than 150 local artists.
