Broadway star featured in Bay Street’s online holiday show
Bay Street Theater and Sag Harbor Center for the Arts will premiere Tony Award-nominee Norm Lewis in concert next week.
Presented by Feinstein’s/54 Below, the holiday show starring Lewis has become an annual tradition over the last five years, though this year it has gone virtual.
At the show set for Thursday, Dec. 17 at 8 p.m., Lewis will be joined by his band performing material from past shows, including songs from The Norm Lewis Christmas Album and some new songs as well.
Lewis can be seen starring in the Netflix film “Da 5 Bloods” by Spike Lee and in the Hulu miniseries, “Mrs. America.” He previously performed in the NBC television special, “Jesus Christ Superstar Live in Concert!,” alongside John Legend, Sara Bareilles, and Alice Cooper. Lewis has also appeared in the Broadway revival of “Once on This Island” and in the off-Broadway production of “Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street.” He was the first African-American phantom in “The Phantom of the Opera” on Broadway.
Tickets for the holiday show are $25 and will include a live chat for fans to interact with each other before and during the show. For more information visit baystreet.org
