Shoreham teen wins “The Voice”

Carter Rubin, the 15-year-old singing sensation from Shoreham, has won NBC’s “The Voice.”

Rubin, the youngest male contestant to ever win on the reality/talent series, beat out four other finalists on Tuesday’s broadcast of the season finale. He was coached by singer Gwen Stefani.

Stefani called Rubin a true artist.

“Your intuition and everything about your voice is so beautiful,” she said on Tuesday’s show. “You have so much ahead of you.”

The winner’s mom, Alonna Rubin, posted a thank you message on Facebook the night before the winning moment.

“I’m so proud of my baby Carter… not just for making it this far, but for being the little man he has become.”
