Scholarships offered to high school seniors

High school seniors graduating this spring are eligible to compete for $2,000 scholarships.

This year marks the 25th annual scholarship contest for the American Fire Sprinkler Association, which offers high school seniors the chance to win one of 10 $2,000 awards.

To enter, high school seniors need to visit the contest webpage to read an essay about fire sprinklers and take an eight-question quiz. For each question answered correctly, students will receive one entry into a drawing for one of the $2,000 scholarships. A total of eight entries into the drawing are possible.

Winners will be randomly chosen to receive a $2,000 prize that will be paid directly to the accredited educational institution of the winner’s choice, to be used for tuition and/or books for the fall 2021 semester.

Since the scholarship program was established in 1996, AFSA has provided over a quarter of a million dollars in scholarships to help fulfill the educational dreams of students from across the nation and raise awareness about fire safety and sprinklers.
