Hamptons Observatory to present tour of the night sky
The Hamptons Observatory is teaming up with the Quogue Wildlife Refuge to celebrate the spring with a virtual program called “The Spring Equinox: A Virtual Tour of the Night Sky.”
In this free, Zoom lecture scheduled for 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday, March 16, NASA Solar System Ambassador William Francis Taylor will discuss the March Equinox and related traditions, as well as other celestial events to look forward to this spring.
The program will take a look at the constellations of spring, from a pair of bright galaxies in the head of the Great Bear to a whole cluster of them in the arms of Virgo, as well a preview of an April shower of shooting stars.
