Town honors 850 healthcare workers during National Hospital Week
In recognition of National Hospital Week, Town of Oyster Bay officials honored healthcare workers during a ceremony at Catholic Health’s St. Joseph Hospital in Bethpage.
The town presented Frontline Hero pins to representatives of each department at St. Joseph Hospital and recognized more than 850 healthcare workers.
In addition to presenting all staff members with pins, officials also presented ‘thank yous’ submitted by residents as part of the town’s Healthcare Hero Recognition Program. In April, the town invited residents to submit ‘thank you’ notes, cards and letters to be distributed to healthcare professionals, reminding them of the gratitude people feel toward all they have contributed throughout the pandemic.
