Brewery’s new beer to benefit Huntington parks
The Six Harbors Brewery has launched a new beer to help raise funds for the 1653 Foundation, a nonprofit that aims to restore and enhance parklands and public spaces in the Town of Huntington.
The new beer is called Heckscher Park Helles, sold with four different labels featuring historic photos of the town. Proceeds from the sales of the new brew, available at select restaurants and bars in Huntington, will go directly to the 1653 Foundation.
Heckscher Park Helles is the brainchild of Mark Huewetter, the owner of Six Harbors Brewery, and was crafted in coordination with the nonprofit. The 1653 Foundation aspires to build an effective and visible organization that promotes the principles of world-class park management and environmental excellence to improve the quality of open space in Huntington.
Six Harbors Brewing Company is located at 243 New York Ave. in Huntington.
