Lindenhurst ribbon-cutting and tasting event to benefit LI Cares
The developers of a new rental complex in Lindenhurst are holding a ribbon-cutting event and fundraiser to benefit Long Island Cares.
Tritec Real Estate Company officially opens its new apartment community called The Wel on Thursday, Oct. 7 with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 1 p.m. and a tasting event at 4 p.m.
The tasting event to celebrate the opening of The Wel will feature live music and food from many local restaurants, including 27a Brewing Company, Bakuto, Sand City Brewing Co., Muni’s Coffee Joint, Wa Meadwerks, Sidelines Cafe, Restoration Kitchen And Cocktails, Hermanas Kitchen And Cocktails, and Belfast Gastropub, Riptides Cocktails and Grill and Pita Bowl.
Both events take place at The Wel 75 E. Hoffman Ave. in Lindenhurst.
Tickets for the tasting event are $25 each and all proceeds will go to Long Island Cares to help fight hunger.

They were instrumental in helping us open our satellite location in Freeport ten years ago, and now with their support of the Lindenhurst community, we’re looking forward to celebrating a new chapter in Long Island’s ever changing housing landscape.”
The Wel brings 260 rental apartments to a former industrial site across from the Lindenhurst LIRR station. The project represents $103 million of investment and has created more than 600 construction jobs. Amenities include a pool and rooftop patio deck, a 24-hour fitness center, cozy fire pits, bike storage, a dog wash station and more.
