Ribbon-cutting for veterans housing
Staff from the Association for Mental Health and Wellness were joined by state and local officials last week to cut the ribbon on a new permanent residence in Medford for formerly homeless veterans.
The Medford home is one of three homes that were built as part of a $2.4 million project. The other two homes are in Riverhead and Mastic.
The initiative is part of Suffolk County’s Housing Our Homeless Heroes program.
