IKEA launches Buy Back & Resell service

The IKEA Long Island store in Hicksville has launched a Buy Back & Resell service, where customers can sell back “gently used” IKEA furniture for store credit.

IKEA will offer the used furniture to other customers in its as-is section. The Buy Back & Resell program runs through Dec. 5.

In addition, IKEA Long Island has launched its Sustainable Living Shop this month to celebrate IKEA Green Friday, which will be a dedicated section to make it easier for customers to find inspiration and shop for sustainable products.

The store will offer discounts on sustainable home solutions and food products with sustainability certifications from Nov. 26 through Nov. 29.

The initiatives are part of the retail chain’s effort to become a circular and climate positive business by 2030.
