Islip Youth Bureau offers free formal wear for proms

The Town of Islip Youth Bureau is offering free formal wear for students attending proms.

The Youth Bureau recently received dozens of prom dresses, suits, shoes and accessories donated by Islip High School students, faculty and residents from the community to assist in the initiative. Kristen D’Attoma, advisor to the Islip Student Union coordinated the formal wear collection effort.

Students looking for formal attire can schedule an appointment with the Youth Bureau at 631-224-5320. All suits, dresses and accessories at the Youth Bureau’s Prom Boutique are free. The Youth Bureau is located at Town Hall West at 401 Main St. in Islip.
