All-Women Lifeguarding Tournament held at Lido Beach

The regional contest of the nationwide 2023 All-Women Lifeguarding Tournament was held at Lido Beach last week.

The participants competed in several events, including a distance run, ocean-kayak challenge, rescue challenges, multiple swim relays, and an Ironwoman contest. 

The tournament also featured an event for junior lifeguards, sprinting to the water, swimming 150 yards and sprinting back to the beach.

This was the first time the women’s lifeguarding tournament was held at Lido Beach. Regional contests for the annual event are held on beaches all over the country.
