La Bottega chain expanding with new Glen Cove eatery
La Bottega Italian Gourmet is expanding its chain of Long Island restaurants and will be opening a new eatery in Glen Cove.
The chain plans to open its newest location this fall in a 2,500-square-foot freestanding building in the Orchard Plaza shopping center at 192 Glen St.
Founded in 2003 by Giuseppe and Marisa Ruta, the La Bottega chain already has eight Long Island locations, including Garden City, Roslyn, Oceanside, Rockville Centre, Long Beach, Merrick, East Meadow and Syosset.
La Bottega features a menu of over 60 panini, 25 Salads, and a weekly changing menu of Italian-inspired dishes. It also offers “Dinner in the box,” for customers to take out.
A wine enthusiast, Giuseppe Ruta, has created an always-evolving menu at La Bottega, featuring a wide selection of imported wines from around the world.
