Law firm assists in the fight against hunger

Mineola-based law firm Meltzer Lippe lent a helping hand once again this season in the fight against hunger on Long Island.

Meltzer Lippe’s annual food drive collected more than 9,300 pounds of food that was donated to Long Island Cares.

In addition, the Meltzer Lippe Foundation, which is the charitable arm of the firm, donated $10,000 to the 15th Annual Bethpage Turkey Drive for Island Harvest Food Bank.

Meltzer Lippe has been working in partnership with Island Harvest for 10 years with monetary and volunteer contributions to help support Long Islanders facing food insecurity. Firm volunteers also helped Island Harvest distribute meals for the Thanksgiving holiday.
