The Granola Bar opens its first Long Island eatery

The Granola Bar, a chain of restaurants headquartered in Connecticut, has opened its first location on Long Island.

The chain opened an eatery in the Woodbury Commons shopping complex at 8285 Jericho Turnpike.

Founded by friends Julie Mountain and Dana Noorily in Dec. 2013, The Granola Bar offers food and drink for dining in or taking out, in addition to its catering services. The restaurant has a full bar and a menu of comfort food that features yogurt parfaits, avocado toasts, salads, sandwiches, smoothies and more.

Besides the new Woodbury spot, The Granola Bar, which is part of the TGB Hospitality Group, has five restaurants in Connecticut, one in Manhattan and one in Rye, N.Y. It also has a catering business, food truck and restaurant consultancy.

“We’re thrilled to see The Granola Bar family growing,” Noorily said in a written statement. “This new Woodbury location represents our commitment to bringing a sense of community and delicious experiences to more people. We look forward to becoming a favorite spot for locals to gather, celebrate, and create lasting memories.”

The new Woodbury location is open from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Mondays through Fridays and from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays.
