Girl Scouts of Suffolk County raises funds for 550 scholarships at annual golf outing

About 150 golfers gathered to support the Girl Scouts of Suffolk County at its annual golf outing last month.

The outing, held at the Nissequogue Golf Club in Hauppauge, raised money to fund 550 scholarships for underserved girls from Suffolk County who wish to participate in a Girl Scouts program.

“Proceeds from this annual event support girls from Suffolk who might not be able to participate in our programs because of a financial barrier,” said Tammy Severino, CEO of Girl Scouts of Suffolk County. “We want every girl who wants to be a Girl Scout to have the benefit of our programs across leadership, STEM, arts and more.”

The event also honored Jeffrey Berkman, Falcon Rappaport & Berkman LLP, for his work supporting the Girl Scouts of Suffolk County over the last year.
