Harmony Cafe and Toast Coffee & Kitchen to host 6th annual ‘Toast-Giving’ dinner
Harmony Cafe, a Patchogue-based nonprofit dedicated to empowering guests with nutritious food and wellness education, is hosting its sixth annual “Toast-Giving” Thanksgiving dinner on Tuesday, Nov. 26, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Toast Coffee & Kitchen in Patchogue.
The free community event features a restaurant-style Thanksgiving dinner, complete with live music from Patrick McHale and the Om-En Duo. Guests will enjoy traditional holiday dishes and desserts served by volunteers in a warm, family-style atmosphere. Meals will be available for dine-in or takeout, with an anticipated 250-350 meals served.
“For many, this is the only restaurant dining experience they’ll have all year,” said Rosemarie McCarthy, founder and president of Harmony Cafe, in a statement. “This event provides guests with more than just food — it’s a dining experience and a chance to spend time with family and friends without the stressor of worrying if they can afford the restaurant meal.”
Community support is vital to the event’s success and individual donations are encouraged to help meet the growing demand for meals amid rising costs.
