Island Harvest Food Bank recently previewed new varieties of produce it is growing at its 1.8-acre Healthy Harvest Farm in Brentwood.

Starting in October, JetBlue will be providing nonstop air service from MacArthur Airport to three Florida destinations.

The annual event was held in Bayport at the Girl Scouts Camp Edey.

Fifteen dance troupes, comprised of Long Island kids from Nassau and Suffolk counties, participated in the event.

The grant supports the Fun Center Arcade Room for the nonprofit.

Long Islanders generously donated more than 382,000 pounds of food to Island Harvest Food Bank this month as part of the annual Stamp Out Hunger food drive.

Collection drives will be set up at seven Stop & Shop supermarkets across Long Island.

The award is given to a nonprofit that measures success not just by meeting its mission, but by affecting the surrounding community as well.

The 2,800-square-foot, state-of-the-art facility, located at 450 Lakeville Road in Lake Success.

The event is part of an international celebration of educational programs designed to engage audiences in the awe-inspiring fields of Earth and space science.

The nation’s largest single-day food collection campaign will take place on Saturday. May 11.

The unique exhibit runs from Tuesday, May 7 through Thursday, May 30.
