The donation from local philanthropists Robert and Patricia Friemann to help support the hospital establish the region’s first Center for Women and Infants.

The temporary spot at 807 Raynor Ave. will be open through March 30.

The money will support capital improvements for building façade restoration and design and construction of a recording studio, exhibit space, multifunction space, Love Supreme Room, and Meditation Room at the Coltranes’ former home in Dix Hills.

The foundation presented The Morgan Center with a $50,000 donation.
